Spring has sprung here at All Saints. Excitement is in the air, and the children are very involved with our little garden. We are excited to see our plants begin to grow all while seeing all the little critters in the garden like snails, spiders, rollie pollies, and bees do their work. We love to help cultivate the love and respect of nature in these young minds!
This month we will be celebrating Easter, Earth Day and Spirit Week! Earth Day is always a favorite here where we get to reinforce that God created even the smallest insects and plants to help make our earth a place of beauty and abundance. We will also learn about how to recycle and take care of mother earth through fun games, art, planting and activities.
Please remember to replace clothes that are sent home, and return extra clothing that comes from the classroom. Accidents do happen and we are running low on our extra clothing, especially underwear and pants. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Don’t forget to label everything from jackets, hats, bedding for nap time, and extra clothing. Labeling items with your child’s initials in black sharpie would be extremely helpful to us. When items are left on the yard our teachers are happy to help children find their belongings, and return them to their proper cubbies.
Looking for something special to do with your children for Earth Day! Planting flowers and seeds is a fun activity and is a wonderful way to teach children about care and respect of Mother Earth. Check out Alta Vista Botanical garden’s website to sign up for a kids class with Farmer Jones (see links in email). Enjoy!
